If you shuttle between two offices, keep a phone at each location.  Configure both phones to ring when a call is received, or sign in to let the system know your location.

If you are out of the office, find-me/follow-me automatically connects calls to your cell phone, your home phone, or any other phone.  You can ring all phones at once or ring them simultanously.  You can even have different call treatments based upon time of day and the calling party.  For example, after 9:00 pm all calls go to voicemail except for my top 10 clients.  (They get to reach me until midnight.)

On the road, a softphone on your laptop and a broadband connection are all that are needed to keep in touch.  Simply plug your laptop into a broadband connection, launch the softphone (a software version of your desk phone), and you are ready to make and receive calls.  All the functionality of your desk phone is available to you
